Deal Landscape Tool

The Deal Landscape tool provides transparent insights into the data available for targeting and reporting across the accessible networks through the Bidder. With great inconsistencies in the information shared by each media owner across the industry, this tool can be leveraged in the research and planning process to align campaign goals and expectations with available targeting and reporting capabilities.

Transparency Report

By aggregating the data in bid requests from the proprietary Pontiac Bidder, we can provide full transparency on the level of data shared by each Deal:

The table displays data for Bidder specific deals that your account has access to. To explore all Deals and their details, including transparency, bid prices, creative types, inventory type, and more, click the download arrow next to the search bar to export the full table.

In the top right, click the Public Link button to get a link available for 30 days to share with clients and colleagues.

Deal Sample Logs

Click the Deal Name to view sample logs for each deal and drill down into exactly what data is being passed so you can target smarter.

As shown in the example above, you can analyze fields such as publisher, content network, channel, series, and title (e.g., Scripps News, CSI Miami, Chicago Fire). This allows you to understand what inventory is available to buy, where your ads are running, and optimize your targeting accordingly.

Custom Reporting

Located below the Transparency Report, the Custom Reporting tool allows you to generate sample request logs to better understand available inventory and the data being passed within each deal or deals. Navigate down to the Custom Reporting section and Click the New Custom Report button.

Fields

  • Name: Enter a name for your report.
  • Deal Name: Select the Deal or multiple Deals that you want to analyze. This will filter the sample logs to only include data from the selected Deals.
  • Start Date: Define the start date for the sample data.
  • End Date: Define the end date for the sample data. Only requests within the start and end window will be included in the report.
  • Type: Sample Requests: Inventory Report
  • Timezone: Choose the timezone for the report. By default, this is set to Seat Time Zone.

Dimensions

Select the fields you want included in your report output. These determine what data you can analyze.

  • Deal Name
  • Content Network
  • Publisher Name
  • Content Channel
  • Content Series
  • Content Title
  • Content Genre
  • App Bundle
  • App Name
  • Site Domain

Example Use Case

Use the Custom Report to quickly identify and validate sports-related inventory before activating or scaling campaigns.

As shown in the example above, you can search for “sports” in the Deal Name field to surface relevant deals such as ESPN, Sling, or Fubo inventory. From there, you can generate a report and analyze the content included in each deal.

Once the report is created, review dimensions like:

  • Content Network (e.g., ESPN, regional sports networks)
  • Content Channel (e.g. mlb, golf channel, fubo sports network)
  • Content Series (e.g., nba basketball, nascar cup series)
  • Content Title (e.g., specific games: denver nuggets at minnesota timberwolves or
new york yankees at texas rangers)

This allows you to:

  • Understand which sports programming is available within each deal
  • Validate that inventory aligns with your campaign goals
  • Compare multiple sports deals to find the most relevant fit
  • Make more informed decisions before activating or increasing spend
