Location & Device
Location & Device Targeting controls geographic eligibility and the device environment associated with an Impression.
Geo
Use Geo to target or exclude geographic areas using:
- Country
- Region/State
- DMA
Geo targeting supports Allow Lists and Block Lists.
When multiple geographic targeting types are applied, an Impression must satisfy each applicable condition.
For example, targeting Alabama as the only Region while also targeting the Detroit DMA would create conflicting requirements and result in no eligible Impressions.
Zip Codes
Use Zip Codes to allow or block specific ZIP or postal codes.
To configure direct ZIP Code targeting:
- Select the applicable Country.
- Enter the desired ZIP or postal codes.
- Select Validate Zips to confirm the values are formatted correctly.
- Configure the ZIP Codes as an Allow List or Block List.
- Save the Targeting configuration.
Important: ZIP Code targeting can be applied in multiple places. Ensure all ZIP Code-based targeting is aligned across the Campaign, Line, Audiences, ART Audiences, and curated Deals to avoid conflicting restrictions or unintended delivery limitations.
Device Types
Use Device Types to restrict delivery based on the device associated with the Impression.
Available Device Types include:
- Computer/Desktop
- Connected TV
- Mobile Phone
- Tablet
- Connected Device
- Set Top Box
If no Device Types are selected, the Campaign or Line is not restricted by Device Type.
Browser
Use Browser to restrict delivery based on the browser identified in the bid request.
Select the applicable Browsers to include or exclude based on the desired strategy.
Operating Systems
Use Operating Systems to restrict delivery based on the operating system identified for the device.
Select the applicable Operating Systems based on the Campaign or Line strategy.
