Seats Overview

A Seat is the top level account structure within Pontiac. It represents the primary workspace through which users access and manage Advertisers, Audiences, account settings, and other platform functionality.

Seat level settings determine items such as:

  • Users and access permissions
  • Seat timezone and preferences
  • LiveRamp and TransUnion addendum acceptance
  • GDPR eligibility and configuration
  • Access to Sub Seats, when enabled

Advertisers are created within a Seat and contain the Campaigns, Lines, Creatives, and Pixels used for campaign setup and delivery. Audiences are managed at the Seat level and can be applied to eligible Campaigns or Lines.

Seat Hierarchy

For a standard Seat, the Pontiac hierarchy is:

Seat
├── Audiences
└── Advertisers
    ├── Creatives
    ├── Pixels
    └── Campaigns
        └── Lines

Users and Seat level preferences are managed through Admin > Seat Settings and control access and configuration for the Seat.

Master Seat and Sub Seat Hierarchy

Some accounts may be configured as a Master Seat with one or more associated Sub Seats. This allows users to access and manage multiple Seats through one central Master Seat.

Master Seat
├── Audiences
└── Sub-Seats
    ├── Audiences
    └── Advertisers
        ├── Creatives
        ├── Pixels
        └── Campaigns
            └── Lines

Audiences created at the Master Seat level may be made available to associated Sub Seats for targeting while remaining managed by the Master Seat. Sub Seats can also maintain their own audiences.
