What is Pontiac MCP?

Pontiac MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a secure integration that allows ChatGPT and Claude Code to connect directly to the Pontiac DSP platform.

It enables users to:

• View and manage advertisers, campaigns, and lines
• Pull performance data and pacing insights
• Create and update campaigns, creatives, and targeting
• Explore inventory, deals, and audiences

In short: it lets you operate Pontiac using natural language inside ChatGPT or Claude Code instead of navigating the UI manually.

Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT things like:

• “Show me campaigns that are under pacing”
• “Create a new CTV campaign for $10K in California”
• “What’s my spend this week by campaign?”

This turns ChatGPT into a hands-on campaign management assistant.

Follow the instructions below to connect to the Pontiac MCP through ChatGPT:

1. Go to ChatGPT
2. Open ChatGPT Settings
   • Click your profile (bottom left)
   • Select Settings

3. Navigate to Apps / Connectors

4. Select Advance Settings > Create App

5. Input the following information:

• Give the app a name.
• Enter the MCP Server URL: https://ai.pontiac.media/mcp
• Check the I understand and want to continue checkbox
• Click Create.

6. The screen will then take you to the Pontiac login console page. Enter your Username and Password as normal. Click Login.

7. Ensure MCP connection.

1. Install Claude Code
   • Run in PowerShell: irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex
   • Install location: C:\Users\.local\bin\claude.exe
2. Configure PATH
   • Add your User PATH: C:\Users\.local\bin
   • Restart PowerShell
   • Verify installation: claude –help
     • Expected output: CLI help output with commands like mcp, agents, auth, etc.
3. Add Pontiac MCP Server
   • Run: claude mcp add –transport http pontiac https://ai.pontiac.media/mcp
   • Verify MCP registration: claude mcp list
     • Expected output: pontiac: https://ai.pontiac.media/mcp (HTTP) – Needs authentication
4. Launch Claude Code
   • Run: claude
   • Initial setup:
     • Select a theme
     • Confirm workspace access
5. Authenticate Pontiac MCP
   • Inside Claude Code run: /mcp
   • Select pontiac
   • Complete authentication via browser or provided link and enter your pontiac username and password as normal
   • Return to Claude Code
6. Confirm Connection
   • Run: /mcp
   • Expected output:

ChatGPT Reconnection Steps:

1. Navigate to account settings on the bottom left corner.
2. Select Apps.
3. Click the three dots next to disconnect.
4. Click the Reconnect button.
5. Use Pontiac credentials to authenticate.
