{"id":6874,"date":"2021-12-22T17:23:52","date_gmt":"2021-12-22T17:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=new-test-section\/setting-up-a-line-item\/associate-audiences"},"modified":"2021-12-22T17:24:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-22T17:24:27","slug":"associate-audiences","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=new-test-section\/setting-up-a-line-item\/associate-audiences","title":{"rendered":"Associate Audiences"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p id=\"block-5c2bc7cb-5a16-4384-8c09-041818e7a4d1\"><br>To associate an Audience to a Line Item follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-3476916b-035a-4b72-a412-f8206e72175d\"><li>Create or select a Line Item and open the Line Item configuration menu.<\/li><li>Scroll down to the \u2018Audiences\u2019 dropdown and choose the \u2018Associate Segments\u2019 button on the right-hand side.<\/li><li>Choose the red \u2018Add New Group\u2019 button on the right-hand side of the window. A box should appear with the words \u2018drag and drop segments to add new group\u2019.<\/li><li>Choose to target \u2018Any\u2019 or \u2018All\u2019 between groups. See the \u2018Boolean Logic\u2019 section below for an explanation of these functions.<\/li><li>Find the segments you wish to add on the left-hand side and drag them into the box on the right-hand side.<ul><li><strong>\u2018Audiences\u2019: <\/strong>Audiences created with a remarketing pixel under this Advertiser will appear here.<\/li><li><strong>\u2018Custom Audiences\u2019: <\/strong>Custom Audiences can be created in the \u2018Audiences\u2019 tab and will automatically be available to all Advertisers in the seat. Certain custom Audiences will only be available to associate when the correct &#8216;Inventory Type&#8217; is selected. For example, Lat\/Long Audiences can only be used when &#8216;In-app&#8217; or &#8216;Open&#8217; is selected as the inventory type.<\/li><li><strong>\u2018Third-Party Audiences\u2019: <\/strong>For Third-Party Audiences to appear here, open the \u2018Audience\u2019 tab and use the blue &#8216;Associate&#8217; button to associate the selected Audience segment to the Advertiser.<\/li><li><strong>\u2018Onboarded Audiences\u2019: <\/strong>For Onboarded Audiences to appear here, open the \u2018Audience\u2019 tab and use the blue &#8216;Associate&#8217; button to associate the selected Audience segment to the Advertiser.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>These Audiences can be \u2018targeted\u2019, or \u2018anti-targeted\u2019. To switch to \u2018exclude\u2019 or \u2018anti-target\u2019 an Audience, select the gray minus sign next to the name of the segment. When you click on the minus symbol it will change from gray to red, indicating that the Audience is now being &#8216;anti-targeted&#8217;. This Line Item will now serve to any user that is NOT in this Audience. In the example below, the Line will serve to anyone who is not in this segment of politically conservative users. If you are only using one Audience, there is no difference in the exclusion feature between \u2018any\u2019 and \u2018all\u2019.
