{"id":15549,"date":"2026-09-22T19:01:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T19:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=platform-updates\/new-features\/september-2026\/app-name-targeting"},"modified":"2026-09-22T19:12:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T19:12:11","slug":"app-name-targeting","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=platform-updates\/new-features\/september-2026\/app-name-targeting","title":{"rendered":"App Name Targeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Release Date: September 23rd, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">App Name Targeting has been added as a separate targeting option, allowing users to target inventory based on the name of the application where an ad may be shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">App Name Targeting supports the same functionality as App Bundle Targeting, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allow List: Target specific application names.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Block List: Exclude specific application names.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Require: Only impressions where the App Name field is present are eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Split by Commas: Enter multiple application names separated by commas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The existing validation and save functionality also applies to App Name Targeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Configuring App Name Targeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to the Targeting section of the applicable Campaign or Line and select Edit Targeting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select App Name from the Targeting dropdown menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the application names you want to allow or block.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure Require and Split by Commas, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Save to apply the targeting configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Input Format:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Line format: <code>[App Name]<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Example: <code>spectrum tv<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">App Name refers to the name of the application where the ad may be shown.
