{"id":15363,"date":"2026-09-04T23:19:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/targeting\/location-device"},"modified":"2026-09-04T23:23:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T23:23:10","slug":"location-device","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/targeting\/location-device","title":{"rendered":"Location &#038; Device"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Location &amp; Device Targeting controls geographic eligibility and the device environment associated with an Impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Geo<\/strong> to target or exclude geographic areas using:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Country<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Region\/State<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DMA<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geo targeting supports <strong>Allow Lists<\/strong> and <strong>Block Lists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When multiple geographic targeting types are applied, an Impression must satisfy each applicable condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, targeting <strong>Alabama<\/strong> as the only Region while also targeting the <strong>Detroit DMA<\/strong> would create conflicting requirements and result in no eligible Impressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zip Codes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Zip Codes<\/strong> to allow or block specific ZIP or postal codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To configure direct ZIP Code targeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the applicable <strong>Country<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the desired ZIP or postal codes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Validate Zips<\/strong> to confirm the values are formatted correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure the ZIP Codes as an <strong>Allow List<\/strong> or <strong>Block List<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the Targeting configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important: ZIP Code targeting can be applied in multiple places.
