Inventory settings should align with the Line\u2019s media strategy, Creatives, Devices, Deals, and other targeting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2113\" height=\"988\" src=\"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11326\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227.png 2113w, https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227-1024x479.png 1024w, https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227-768x359.png 768w, https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227-1536x718.png 1536w, https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-09-131227-2048x958.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2113px) 100vw, 2113px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inventory Type<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Web:<\/strong> Ads serve within web browsers across supported desktop, laptop, and mobile environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>In App:<\/strong> Ads serve within supported applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Combined:<\/strong> Includes both Web and In App inventory on the same Line.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Combined allows the Line to receive both Web and In App inventory; it does not require an individual bid request to contain both a Site Domain and App Bundle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The selected Inventory Type should align with other Line settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Site Lists<\/strong> are used with Web inventory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>App Lists<\/strong> are used with In App inventory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deals<\/strong> should support the selected Inventory Type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Device Types<\/strong> should align with the devices observed in the available inventory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Media Type and Creative Type<\/strong> should align with the inventory available through the targeted Deals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inventory Source<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Open Exchange:<\/strong> Inventory made available through supply-side platforms (SSPs) in an open real-time bidding marketplace across many publishers. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A Line can access <strong>Open Exchange<\/strong> inventory without targeting a Deal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Private Marketplace (PMP) Deals:<\/strong> Publisher-defined inventory made available through a private auction using a Deal ID. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) Deals:<\/strong> Direct publisher agreements with fixed pricing and guaranteed inventory volume. Targeting and delivery requirements are primarily defined by the publisher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inventory sources can be further refined using Sites, Apps, Deals, Deal Lists, Exchanges, Device Types, Audiences, Geography, and other Campaign or Line targeting settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Inventory Eligibility Works<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inventory eligibility is determined by all applicable Campaign and Line settings working together. Each additional targeting setting further refines the inventory that is eligible to receive a bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a Line may first be limited by its Inventory Type, then further restricted by the selected Inventory Source, Deals, Sites or Apps, Exchanges, Device Types, Media Type, and other targeting requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inventory Type<br>\u2193<br>Inventory Source \/ Deals<br>\u2193<br>Sites or Apps<br>\u2193<br>Exchanges \/ Device Types<br>\u2193<br>Media and Creative Requirements<br>\u2193<br>Other Campaign and Line Targeting<br>\u2193<br>Eligible Inventory<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An incoming bid request must satisfy all applicable targeting requirements to remain eligible. Adding more targeting does not expand available inventory; it further restricts the set of requests that can qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Campaign level and Line level targeting are also evaluated together.
