This helps account for words that may have different meanings depending on how they are used. For example, the word &#8220;Apple&#8221; could refer to the technology company or the fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contextual AI can be used in two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Custom Contextual Audiences:<\/strong> Build an Audience using representative webpage URLs or a written description of the desired content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IAB Curated Contextual Segments:<\/strong> Select from more than 300 prebuilt contextual segments curated by Pontiac around IAB content categories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contextual AI segments have an additional <strong>$0.25 CPM<\/strong> fee that is included in the Total Cost CPM and does not need to be added to the Bid Price. Enter one full URL per line, including the scheme, subdomain, and complete URL path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Text<\/strong>: Use <strong>Text<\/strong> when you want to describe the desired content rather than provide example URLs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the applicable source content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the Audience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">URLs<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>URLs<\/strong> when you have representative webpages that reflect the type of content you want to target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter one full URL per line, including the scheme, subdomain, and complete URL path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>https:&#47;&#47;example.com\/news\/article-one\nhttps:\/\/example.com\/news\/article-two<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For best results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use at least <strong>3\u20135 representative pages<\/strong>. Closer to 10 may be useful for broader topics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use more examples when defining a broad topic and fewer examples when defining a narrow or specific topic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select text-rich pages with at least five sentences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>News articles, blog posts, guides, and other content-heavy pages generally provide stronger source material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid pages that are primarily images, interactive content, infinite scroll, or located behind a paywall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a broad Audience focused on <strong>current events<\/strong> may benefit from source articles covering several different current-event topics. A narrowly defined Audience, such as <strong>1960s muscle cars<\/strong>, may require fewer examples because the desired context is more specific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Text<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Text<\/strong> when you want to describe the desired content rather than provide example URLs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter a descriptive paragraph explaining the topic, subject matter, or type of content you want the Audience to match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum: <strong>50 words<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum: <strong>500 words<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The description should provide enough detail for Contextual AI to understand the intended topic and identify contextually relevant webpages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View and Manage Contextual Audiences<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navigate to <strong>Audiences > Contextual AI<\/strong> to review the Contextual Audiences available to the Seat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The table includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Status:<\/strong> Indicates whether the Audience is Active or Inactive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ID:<\/strong> Pontiac\u2019s unique identifier for the Audience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Name:<\/strong> The name assigned to the Audience. Review existing Campaign and Line targeting before making significant changes to an Audience that is already in use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Associate a Contextual Audience to a Campaign or Line<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once available, Contextual AI Audiences can be associated with eligible Campaigns or Lines through Audience targeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to the applicable <strong>Campaign<\/strong> or <strong>Line<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter <strong>Edit<\/strong> mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open <strong>Audiences<\/strong> and select <strong>Associate Segments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Contextual Audiences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for the desired Custom or IAB Curated Contextual Audience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Add New Group<\/strong> and add the Audience to the desired targeting group.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the <strong>green plus (+)<\/strong> to target the Audience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the <strong>red minus (\u2013)<\/strong> to anti-target the Audience, when applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Configure any additional Audience or Boolean logic as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close the dialog and select <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For additional information on combining Audiences and configuring <strong>Any \/ All<\/strong> logic, see <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/audiences\/associate-segments\">Associate Segments<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/audiences\/boolean-logic\"> <strong>Boolean Logic<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IAB Curated Contextual Segments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pontiac provides more than <strong>300 prebuilt Contextual AI segments<\/strong> based on IAB content categories. These Audiences are already available for use across Advertisers and do not need to be created manually. To review a curated segment, select the Audience name.
