{"id":10711,"date":"2025-04-07T19:35:17","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T19:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/templates\/line-templates\/clone-a-line-template"},"modified":"2026-10-08T19:08:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T19:08:24","slug":"clone-a-line-template","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/wiki.pontiac.media\/?docs=ctv-documentation\/templates\/line-templates\/clone-a-line-template","title":{"rendered":"Clone a Line Template"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cloning allows users to create a new Line Template based on an existing Template without modifying the original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Clone<\/strong> when you want to create a reusable variation of an existing Line Template, such as a version with different bidding, Targeting, inventory, pacing, Frequency &amp; Recency, or other Line settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To clone a Line Template:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Templates > Line Templates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the Line Template you want to clone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Clone<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Clone Template<\/strong> page will open with the existing Template configuration copied into the new Template.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Update the <strong>Template Setup<\/strong> information so the cloned Template can be distinguished from the original.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and adjust any applicable Line Template settings, including:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Template Setup<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Line Setup<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pacing &amp; Dayparts<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frequency &amp; Recency<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Foot Traffic Reporting<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Targeting<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Submit<\/strong> to save the cloned Template.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cloned Line Template is saved as a separate Template and can be managed independently from the original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important: Changes made to the cloned Template do not affect the original Template, and changes made to the original Template do not affect the clone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>Clone<\/strong> when you want to create another reusable Template configuration.
